Q. What is Stock Video and Stock Photography?
Stock video is short video clips that are licensed through different stock "Agencies" and used in countless areas of media production where it would be very costly or time consuming for the production to film it themselves.
Everywhere you see video playing there is a high likelihood you will find stock video. TV commercials, Youtube Videos, even TV shows and Movies use stock video footage.
The major appeal of using stock video are that it is 1, Cheap relative to capturing the content directly and 2. Extremely fast to purchase and download a clip that is needed.
Stock Photography is exactly the same - Individual photos licensed through different stock Agencies and used for advertisement, Editorial, publications, corporate material, etc.
Q. Where will the video or photos of me be used?
Stock Video and Stock Photography can be used in a number of locations including:
Wherever video and/or photos are used, Stock content can help elevate the experience. When it's too expensive or not possible to hire a cinematographer or photographer, a production can choose to use Stock content.
Q. What rate can I expect for modelling for Stock Video or Stock Photography?
Big Bambi Productions pays a once off model fee. The fee will depend on the amount of shoot days and location.
Q. Are there any restrictions on how or where the Stock Video or Stock Photos can be used?
Yes! Stock Video and Photography agencies have strict rules for how the content that is licensed on their sites can be used. Here are some of the different agencies terms for how content licensed from there sites can be used.
Q. Do I need to sign a model release?
Yes. Any model that is working with us needs to sign a model release. A model release is a legal document that gives Big Bambi Productions permission to use a model's likeness to create and sell photo and video content. It ensures everyone from the filmmaker, photographer, model and stock agency is on the same page and knows what to expect from one another.
